St. John Catholic School
where knowledge is
illuminated by our faith
The mission of St. John School is to meet the needs of a diverse student body by educating the whole child academically, socially, and spiritually, while establishing a Christ-centered foundation leading to a future permeated in the Catholic faith.
All students can learn, and as a Catholic institution all knowledge must be illuminated by the light of our faith. Assessment of student learning provides diverse opportunities to demonstrate achievement. Students are provided with a supportive and challenging academic environment to actively engage them in the educational process for optimal learning.
Faith formation is a lifelong process in which everyone has the opportunity to be a teacher and a student. As partners in education, the school community of parents, teachers, and administrators share the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission, and supporting student learning and Catholic formation. A community climate grounded in the Catholic faith, service to God, and permeated by the spirit of the Gospel must be provided to all students, as Christ is the reason for our school.
In 1924, ground was broken for a parish school at St. John the Evangelist Church, fulfilling the desire of Bishop Hartley. For over 85 years, St. John School has served the community of Logan, providing students with a solid foundation in the Catholic faith, and a quality education based on family values
